A J Furniture piece is tailored to strict quality control standards. At J Furniture, we take the time to ship a well tailored, beautiful piece of furniture that can be displayed and admired in the finest homes.
J Furniture cushions are made with pocketed coil technology. Heat tempered springs inside each cushion are individually wrapped in a woven polyester, encased in high density foam, and finally book wrapped in 2 ounce polyester fiber. Very similar to a standard mattress, a pocketed coil cushion offers superior seating compared to a standard foam cushion and most importantly, superior durability. Styles with buttons or pulls do not contain pocketed coil technology and are made with 1.8 density foam.
At J Furniture all frames are padded on the outside arms and backs. This gives our furniture a better feel and a more tailored look, not to mention, keeps the piece from having sagging and stretched fabric on the outside arms and back. We use thick polyester fiber on track and flared outside arms, and we use a quilted pad on all other arms and all outside backs. All rolled arms are constructed with durable half moon poly for lasting shape and comfort. No fabric touches wood on a J Furniture frame.
J Furniture frames are constructed with hardwoods and furniture grade plywood in all stress areas, and plywood and OSB in non stress areas. Each frame is corner blocked for superior strength. Springs are 8.5 Gauge medium loop sinuous wire or "no-sag" springs spaced 4.5 inches apart except where we double the springs inside the arm. Springs are then covered with fiber deck pad.
Inside backs are bagged and baffled to reduce fiber migration and provide a lasting look and comfort. Each bag is filled with 15 denier conjugated picked polyester fiber for superior durability and bounce.
